Beauty Benefits of argan oil for skin and Hair

Argan oil for skin

Moisturising:

After your cleansing routine, apply a few drops evenly on your face and neck. Argan oil is non-greasy and soaks in without leaving you feeling sticky or slippery.
But if you are unsure of using oil as a moisturiser, ensure you are using a moisturising cream, as it is an essential beauty product to maintain healthy skin. Olay Total Effects Day cream is a dream product that also fights signs of ageing.

Rejuvenating face mask:

To your existing home-made or store-bought mask, add a few drops. Alternatively, you could make a mask at home by mixing 3 drops of argan oil with 3 teaspoons Greek yogurt, 1 tablespoon honey and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Leave on for 10 minutes and rinse off with warm water. You’ll see a natural glow like never before.

Body lotion:

After you’ve washed off the soap, apply a few drops over your wet skin and rinse off. Pat your skin dry.

Exfoliation:

Swap your readymade scrub for this homemade one with argan oil and apart from savings, you’ll get the added advantage of anti-ageing. In your palm, rub a tablespoon of brown sugar with a few drops of argan oil and scrub your face in a circular motion for 2-4 minutes. Rinse and pat dry. This also doubles up as a lip scrub.

Pregnant women constantly cribbing about their stretch marks will find relief from stretched, sagging or post-birth skin. Argan oil is bursting with vitamin E which protects them against these unsightly marks. Rubbing a few drops on breasts, stomach, bottom and thighs during pregnancy makes the skin supple and increases elasticity.

Leave-in conditioner:

After you’ve shampooed your hair, work in a few drops on your scalp and hair ends for deep hydrating and moisturising especially for hair that’s daily damaged by pollution, constant styling and other hair products.

Frizz control & shine:

Fly-aways, frizz and split ends will meet their end. Ensure that you apply only a few drops and nothing more as excessive application could weigh your hair down and make it look ugh-oily.

Overnight treatment:

Massage generously into your hair, scalp and ends and cover your head while sleeping. Wash in the morning and find your hair softer.

Hair pack:

You can also prepare a power-packed hair mask by combining 2 tablespoons of argan oil, 1 tablespoon shea butter, 1 tablespoon melted honey and 1 egg yolk. Apply on your scalp and hair, cover with a shower cap and leave for 1 hour. Then shampoo.

How to live a Stress Free life

If you ask what is the single most important key to longevity, I would have to say it is avoiding worry, stress and tension. And if you didn’t ask me, I’d still have to say it. Stress is a major problem for many people — a hectic, stressful job, a chaotic home life, bills to worry about, and bad habits such as unhealthy eating, drinking and smoking can lead to a mountain of stress. If your life is full of stress, like mine once was, there are some simple things you can do to get your life to a more manageable level. Now, your life will probably never be stress-free — I don’t think that’s even desirable, even if it is possible, because stress is something that challenges us and helps us grow. At a reasonable level. But when stress gets too high, it causes us to be unhappy and unhealthy. Many people do not act positively to reduce the stress in their lives until physical symptoms force them to consider how their lifestyle is affecting their well-being. Don't leave ...
