How to use Banana for Skin Care

Bananas contain a good amount of fiber, which makes them a great energy booster. It contains potassium, iron, B Vitamins including B6 and B12 and it is good for a whole host of issues, including anemia, constipation and diarrhea, maintaining healthy bones and teeth, regulating blood pressure, kidney health and improved nerve function, and stress relief.




Even the peel of the banana is worthy of mentioning because it contains a number of antioxidants and can be used as home remedy to cure allergies, bruises, mosquito bites, skin irritation, warts, treating acne, and wrinkles. To use the peel in these situations, just apply a section of the banana peel to the affected areas and leave it on for half an hour every day until there is noticeable change.
If your skin is dry, here is an easy way to moisturize with only using banana peels! Instead of having to pay a few hundred dollars on facials or any kind of skin moisturizing, you can do this at home.

Mashed Banana for Face

Mash a ripe banana and apply on your face and skin. Let it sit on your face for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with cold water. If you have time, massage your skin with ice cubes after this. The application of banana will make your face glow and even out the rough skin.



Banana Yogurt Face Mask

Blend Banana, vitamin E oil and Yogurt together. Apply generously to damp face and relax for half an hour. Rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water and do your final rinse with cold water. To kick up the facial a notch, place the banana peel over the eye area (like you would a cucumber) or place it over areas where you have wrinkles or frown lines. Do this every other day and see the difference.



Banana & Coconut oil Mask

Mash a ripe banana and add some coconut oil. Mix it up and apply it on your face. It will give you fairer skin. You can also apply this mask on your hair for shiny soft hair.



Banana with orange Juice Face Mask

Take a ripe banana and mash it with a spoon or a fork in a bowl till it forms a smooth lump free pulp. Add 1 tsp. of thick yogurt and 1 tsp. of orange juice and mix the ingredients thoroughly. If you feel the mixture is too thick to apply, add a few drops of orange juice. Wash your face with a mild soap and use a soft towel to pat it dry. Apply the mask onto your face, using your clean fingers and massage it thoroughly onto your face for a minute. Apply a second thick coat onto your face and let it sit on your face for 15 minutes to allow the mask to work its magic!

Rinse your face with cold water to wash away mask’s ingredients and to tighten your skin pores. Apply a good moisturizer of your choice to hydrate your skin.
