Beauty Tips for Dry skin

Our Skin is so sensitive. Just as we need protection, our skin needs care as well. The kind of care that our skin needs is determined by the type of skin we have. There are four types of skin-normal, oily, dry and sensitive and each type of skin has its own complications. Having a dry skin means experiencing tightness due to lack of moisture and a need for a proper lubricant to re-hydrate it. Many home remedies can help improve your dry flaky skin on face.

Beauty tips for Dry Facial Skin

Avocado Face Mask

Avocado is an excellent home remedy to treat the dry skin as it is rich in natural oil, which can make the skin soft and smooth all day long. Take a ripe avocado and make puree out of it. Now, mix it with 2 teaspoons of curd along with ½ a teaspoon of honey. Put this mask on your face or any dry part of your body. After 10 minutes, wash it off with water.

Olive oil and Egg yolk

The characteristics of the olive oil and egg yolk makes their amalgamation a must have for those who have dry skin. Olive oil is one of the key secret ingredients used in practices of taking care of flaky dry skin. It is a popular natural antioxidant enriched with vitamin E and K that works wonders when a teaspoon of it is combined with two egg yolks and whipped together to obtain a stable consistency. The egg yolks have vitamin A that controls the shedding of the skin and make it soft and smooth. For better results, add a few drops of lime juice and rose water.

Moisturize

Moisture forms a protective layer on the skin keeping it safe by keeping it hydrated. Thicker moisturizers, such as OTC brands Eucerin and CetaphilOils, work best. Oils such as bay oil, tend to be better at trapping the water on your skin than the various moisturizing creams available.

Honey

Rub some honey all over your face and body and sit for 10 minutes. Then, take a shower. You will come out with a soft glowing skin, which will remain glow throughout the day.

Bananas

This is a tried and tested remedy to treat a dry skin. Take a ripe banana and mash it properly. Apply it as a mask on your face to remove the dryness. Banana acts as a moisturizer while making your skin glow with a shiny smoothness.

Vinegar

This remedy is especially useful for dry hands. Wash your hands thoroughly and dry them. Now, apply some vinegar and leave it overnight.

Coconut Oil

Massage your body with coconut oil before going to bathe, to have a soft skin. Coconut oil has excellent conditioning properties. It also nourishes dry and damaged skin.

Baby Lotion

Apply baby lotion as a moisturizer on your skin as it is free from harmful chemicals unlike other moisturizers, which are used by young people. Baby oil is one of the best moisturizers that can be applied to heal dry and rough skin. You can add a teaspoon or 2 of baby oil in your bath water for a long-lasting smoothness. You can also apply glycerin oil or petroleum jelly to have a soft skin.

Papaya

Prepare a fruity mask by mashing a slice of papaya, 1 banana and 1 avocado. Apply it on your face and let it remain for about 15 minutes. Papaya is one of the most effective home remedies for the treatment of dry skin as it also helps in eliminating the scars.
