Honey and Cinnamon to cure Cold

With cold and flu season on the verge, I thought I would share my favorite cold and flu remedy.
A mixture of honey and cinnamon for colds or the flu has been used for generations! The mixture is often called a cure for colds. It has been shown to reduce the length of a cold by at least 2 days and it also reduces the severity of symptoms.

Honey has anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-microbial properties. Many studies have shown that it is effective at fighting external and internal infections.
Cinnamon is also beneficial as it contains anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and antioxidant properties.
Honey and cinnamon are powerful immune boosters! You can use this remedy to not only reduce the severity of your cold, but also prevent future colds or other viruses.
Together these two ingredients make a super healing combination.

Honey and Cinnamon Cold Remedy:

1 teaspoon honey (purchase organic raw honey here)
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Mix. Take this amount every few hours as soon as you feel a cold or other illness coming on.  After initially trying it with only one ‘dose’ and seeing the immediate effects, I now mix up a small bowl full of honey and cinnamon and spoon it into hot drinks or dip fruit into it all day long.  I find that with young children it’s easy to just treat the whole family with this simple yummy remedy upon the first sign of a sniffle from anyone.

Acne scars can occur from bad breakouts of zits, pimples or moderate acne clusters. Most of the time, scars are formed because of added irritation to affected areas, such as picking or rubbing the acne formations. However, sometimes the acne can be inflamed to a more severe state, and scarring can develop regardless of added irritation. There are several medical and cosmetic procedures that can help get rid of acne scars, such as laser treatment, dermabrasion, tissue fillers and surgery and so on. However, most of these procedures are quite expensive and in most cases will not be covered by insurance. Fortunately, there are several home treatments and natural remedies for acne scars too, many of which are quite effective in the lightening and perhaps even the gradual removal of the scars.
