Home remedies for white hair to turn black

Though one cannot prevent the natural cycle of whitening of hair, but you can always prevent your hair from premature graying. You can always choose a healthy diet and natural home remedies for treating grey hairs at home.         


How to treat premature graying of hair? 


Here are some home remedies for treating premature graying of hair naturally. These home remedies are very helpful  in curing premature graying of hair  effectively. 

Phyllanthus emblica (Amla)  & Henna pack:

Prepare fresh paste of henna and add amla powder (3 tbsp), coffee powder (1 tsbp), to make a hair pack. Make uniform paste with little water to and apply it on the hair. Leave it for two hours and then wash with a mild soap or shampoo. This pack imparts color and nourishes the hair by making then soft, silky and shiny. This is the most effective gray hair home remedy.



 Coconut & Lemon remedy:

Take coconut oil according to requirement and mix fresh lemon juice (3tbsp) in it. Apply it on the hair roots and the entire length of hair. Leave it for an hour and wash with mild shampoo or soap. It is an effective treatment and should be used atleast twice a week to make the hair black, soft and shiny.

Homemade Amla oil:

Boil a few Amla (Indian gooseberry) pieces in coconut oil till they turn black. Apply this mixture on your hair to cure premature graying of hair naturally at home.


Curry Leaves & Coconut oil:

Boil curry leaves in coconut oil till the leaves become black. Apply on your scalp, and hair roots as a hair tonic for hair loss and bringing back the hair pigmentation .Curry leaves contain a natural pigment to retain the natural color of your hair. Curry leaves can be used with buttermilk, or curd to prevent your hair from becoming gray.

Earth wash remedy

Take deep dug earth from the garden or the field and make a solution of it with water. Filter the extract and wash the hair with it. Use the remedy once a week for soft, strong and black hair. This nature remedy has no side effects and is also good for headache, sleeplessness, eye inflammation and retards the process of hair graying.

Shikakai & Reetha remedy:

Soak a cup of henna, 2 tablespoon of Indian gooseberry or aamla , 1 tbsp.acacia concinna or shikakai and 1 tbsp. sapindus mukorossi or reetha powder, 1 tbsp. lemon juice, 2 tbsps.curd, half tbsp. coconut oil with vinegar in an iron bowl overnight and apply on hair in the morning. Rinse after 2 hours. This is a natural and herbal dye.

Ribbed Gourd remedy:

This remedy effectively restores the ” melanin” pigmentation of hair.Keep the dry pieces of ribbed gourd soaked in coconut oil for 3 days. Boil the mixture till a black residue is formed, massage it on the hair and rinse out after an hour.

Rinse remedy:

Keep the powder of Indian gooseberry or aamla and acacia concinna or shikakai soaked in vinegar overnight, and rinse the hair with it in the morning. The hair will become strong and black.



Rosemary and Sage:

Boil half a cup of rosemary and half a cup of sage in a large pot of water for about 30 minutes. Strain the herbs out, then leave the water to cool. Once cool, pour the water over your hair and scalp and leave your hair to dry naturally, then wash out using natural shampoo. Repeat once a week.



Eat a hair-healthy diet:

 Maintaining a healthy, balanced diet plays a huge role in the health of your hair, so making sure your body is getting all the hair-friendly vitamins and nutrients it needs can help to prevent white hairs.
  • Make sure you are eating plenty of lean protein (hair is made from protein), fruits, vegetables and wholegrains. Drink plenty of water for hydration.
  • More specifically, make sure you are getting enough of the vitamin B12 and the mineral zinc. If you don't feel you are getting enough in your diet naturally.
  • Also make sure you are getting adequate amounts of vitamins A, C and E and of minerals like copper, iron and folic acid.
  • Biotin (sometimes called vitamin H) is another important vitamin for healthy, naturally-colored hair. It is found in foods like cucumbers, oats and almonds.

Give yourself regular head massages:

 Head massages help to stimulate blood flow to the scalp, which keeps hair growing healthily. If possible, massage a natural oil like almond or coconut oil into the scalp, as this helps to deeply moisturize the hair roots.



Black Walnut:

You can use black walnuts for coloring your gray hair .Boil a few black walnuts in water for 15-20 minutes .Keep on your hair for 30 minutes to color your gray hair naturally at home. Eat 5-6 walnuts daily as they are the rich sources of copper, and zinc. Both are responsible for the formation of melanin.


Brahmi hair oil:

Apply brahmi hair oil for curing premature graying of hair ,dandruff, and splits ends at home naturally.

Increase the Intake of Vitamins:

As pointed out earlier, white hair can be the outcome of the deficiency of vitamin B12 in your diet. Thus, to combat the problem of white hair, it is inevitable to increase the intake of foods rich in vitamins A and B. Increase your consumption of dark green vegetables and yellow fruits. For adequate supply of vitamin B, you should eat green leafy vegetables, bananas, tomatoes, cauliflower, yogurt, yeast, liver and cereals. Vitamin B12 is found in meat, dairy products and eggs. You can also consider taking vitamin B12 supplements.

Use Aloe Vera:

Aloe vera is also very effective for your hair. Massaging your hair with a mixture of aloe vera, wheat-germ oil and coconut milk accelerates the growth of your hair and decreases dandruff by evening the pH level of your scalp and cleansing your pores. After this, rinse and shampoo your hair as usual.



Avoid Excess Stress:
