Makeup for Special Occasion...

An elegant outfit needs a special makeup. Choose makeup according to your outfit. Before anything, decide what are you are going to wear and only after, choose the type of makeup. Matching makeup and outfit doesn’t necessarily means an interesting and great combination, on the contrary, it can be a little dull or it can become a sign of exaggerated preciosity.
If you have a sequined dress, avoid a glittering makeup or one in sparkling colors, and pick instead a smokey eyes makeup. If you are wearing strong colors, makeup should be neutral and natural.

You just need to follow a few simple rules and you’ll get an impeccable makeup.

Basic Steps:
·        Clean your hands and then apply face wash on your face and massage your forehead, cheeks, chin, nose and the area around your eyes carefully, so your skin gets deeply clean and fresh.

·         Exfoliate your skin. Good to do after you cleanse your face. It takes away dead skin cells and allows skin to renew itself. Make sure your face is still a bit wet, and apply a exfoliating face wash or lotion, or just a bit of face wash with an exfoliating face sponge. With a very light touch, go rubbing your nose and anywhere else your skin tends to get oily.

·         Apply a moisturizing cream. If you don’t use a moisturizing cream, your makeup will lack glitter, and it will be like a mask, while wrinkles will be even more visible.

·         Apply foundation. You can use a brush, sponge or your fingertips - whatever it's best for you. Place small dots on your forehead, cheeks, chin, nose, on eyelids and on under eye area to minimize under eye darkness. Then blend it in with a very light touch.

·         Use a concealer if you need it. An illuminator gives luminosity to your skin, masks fatigue and enhances the traits of your face. Apply it under the eyes, along the nose, on the chin and above the eyelashes tracing lines and using your fingers in order to mix them.

·         Set your makeup with face powder on a big powder brush all over face, and set your eyelid and under eye makeup with a powder puff or sponge.

Eye Makeup:
·         Your brows frame your face and eyes, so make sure they are not too busy - so pluck them if needed, but never over do it. You can also fill them in a little bit with a slightly wet brow brush and a dark eyeshadow or pencil eyeliner. Also, make sure to finish it with by brushing it perfectly with a brow comb/brush.

·         Start by applying the eye shadow, the eyeliner, eyebrow pencil and mascara. It’s up to you to choose the products you are going to use for eye makeup, but mascara should always be applied. If you have decided to accentuate the lips, start with them before the eye makeup.

·         When applying blush smile so you can see better your cheekbones. If you get a big contrast between your cheekbones and the rest of your face, use a translucent powder to fade out the color excess.

Lip Makeup:

·         Make sure your lips are clean - so get your finger tip wet and massage your lips with soap, then rinse your fingertip and take the soap away from your lips. Then, dry it with a towel. With your lips clean, apply a little bit of lip balm to provide moisture. Wait around 15 seconds to let your lips absorb some of the balm in.

·          Lip liner is optional, but if you decide to use it, choose a shade that is close to the color of the lipstick. Start at the center of the upper lip and follow the line to the edges, and do the same on the lower lip. If you use a lip liner. Then apply a light shade of lip gloss, either a light pink or light peach shade.

 Makeup Ideas:

Shimmery makeup. The most important rule is not to use glitter in more than two places at once. For example, if you have used nacre on the eyelids and cheekbones, don’t use glittering powder for the neckline. For a dense, metallic color for eyelids, mix the eye shadow-powder and a bit of water. Add nacre in the inner corner of the eyes to give luminosity to your look.

Smokey eyes. This is the perfect choice for a se*y look. Start by applying a nude eye shadow on the upper eyelid, then cover it with a gray or brown slightly nacre eye shadow. The dark matte eye shadow is next that has to be applied from the center of the eyelid towards the outer edge. Fade out the eye shadow using an ear stick. Under the arch of the eyebrow apply white, cream-colored or pearled pink eye shadow, or any light color.
Make a contour to the lower eyelid using black or gray eye shadow, starting from the outer corner towards the center of the eyelid.
