Home Remedies to get Straight Hair Naturally

Hot Oil Treatments

Regular hot oil treatments is one the best and easiest ways to keep your hair smooth and well hydrated. The heat and saturation from the warm oil will relax the light wavy and curly pattern of your hair. For hot oil treatment, the best options are coconut, olive, almond or sesame oil. Slightly heat the oil you wish to use in a microwave for about 20 seconds. Apply the warm oil to your hair and massage your scalp for 15 to 20 minutes. Comb your hair thoroughly to evenly distribute the oil. It will also avoid breakage while washing your hair. Cover your hair with a hot wet towel for 30 to 40 minutes. Wash your hair with a mild shampoo. Gently comb your hair (use a wide-toothed comb not a brush) while it is still wet and allow it to air dry.

Milk Hair Mask

Fill some amount of milk in a spray bottle. Comb hair after shampoo. Spray milk on your hair and rinse after 30 minutes. Spray your favorite perfume on the comb and then, comb your wet hair with this. This will vanish the smell of milk, but do not use too much perfume as it contains alcohol, which will dry your strands.

Eggs

Take eggs and whip them till they turn smooth. Apply it on your hair and scalp. Leave it for 20-30 minutes.  Wash off your hair using a mild shampoo. You can also mix yogurt if the smell of eggs irritates you.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera contains several enzymes that promote healthy hair growth and makes your hair smooth and soft. Also, aloe vera gel easily penetrates into the hair strands and keeps them well moisturized. Due to this moisturizing property, it can straighten your hair naturally. Mix one-half cup each of aloe vera gel and warm olive oil. Optionally, mix in six drops each of rosemary oil and sandalwood oil. Massage the mixture into your hair and scalp. Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it on for one to two hours. Rinse it off and shampoo your hair with a mild shampoo.

Coconut and Lemon

Add a few drops of lemon juice to freshly prepared coconut milk and mix well. Keep the glass of coconut milk and lemon juice into refrigerator for a few hours. A thick foamy layer will appear over the glass, which needs to be applied on the scalp and entire length of the hair right away. Steam your hair for 15-20 minutes after this and follow it up with a wash. Repeat this process regularly to get straighter hair.

Banana Pack

Bananas are rich in fruit acids such as glucose, fructose and sucrose. It keeps your hair well moisturized, reduces the fizz and soothes dry, flaky and itchy scalp with the regular use. The benefits of banana can be enhanced by adding yogurt into it, as it is also a great hair moisturizer and smoothest the hair. Mash 1 ripe banana and add 2 teaspoon of yogurt into it. Blend it in a blender to get a smooth paste so that no chunks of the banana remain. Apply this all over the hair starting from the tips and work up till the crown. Rinse off after 45 minutes with a shampoo.
